More About the NYC Elementary School Debate Institutes

The New York City Urban Debate League founded the nation’s first elementary school debate institute. The Debate Camp is staffed by New York’s top college, high school debate coaches, teachers, alumni and debaters.  Skills include public speaking, cross examination, critical thinking, research, argumentative writing, public forum debate, and policy debate. Subjects include the current policy debate resolution, philosophy, political science, critical theory, economics, history, geography, international politics and more. Students will gain a competitive edge for the upcoming debate season.

OUR LOCATIONS: HUNTER COLLEGE'S SILBERMAN GRADUATE SCHOOL (MANHATTAN CAMP) AND MASPETH HIGH SCHOOL (QUEENS CAMP)

We thank Hunter College’s Silberman Graduate School and CUNY for allowing us to use the incredible facilities and college environment of Hunter College. The Urban Debate League has hosted Summer Debate workshops for several years at Hunter College, because it is an incredible facility. Hunter College is conveniently located near the 6 Train’s East 116th Street.
