NYC Great Debaters Weekly!

Remembering David Budinger, Founding Board Chair of the NYC Urban Debate League

Dear Friend,

This week we sadly announce the passing of NYCUDL Board Chair David Budinger, first supporter and co-founder of the New York City Urban Debate League. We would not have a NYCUDL without David. From volunteering at every tournament to donating to NYC debate coaches and debaters to helping to create the NYCUDL to leading the NYCUDL to impacting so many generations of students ..... and we were only one of the many organizations he supported. According to the New York Times of today, "Financier, Philanthropist, Patron of the Arts, Champion for Education, Friend of the Archdiocese...David will be remembered for his boundless love of Broadway and countless philanthropic endeavors that include, Aid to the Church in Need, Marian High School, Donors Choose, Saint Michael Abbey, and the New York City Urban Debate League, The Juilliard School." From traveling to tournaments to traveling to the Vatican to donating to hundreds of teachers and classrooms throughout the country - David is one of those most unique, incredible, and passionate individuals. And so please join us on June 19th with family and friends to celebrate such an incredible person and his infinite impact. Click here to learn more about David's impact. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 19th, 10:00am at Holy Family Church, 315 E. 47th Street, NY, NY, 10017. - Erik,
